On Friday, January 5th, around 8:20 A.M., LCFC and MICU 2-87 were dispatched to the the 3000 block of Conestoga Road for an auto accident. Initial reports were one car vs. a piece of agricultural equipment. QRS 73 went enroute first and received information from Chester County Fire Board that they had one person down in the roadway. QRS 73 arrived and confirmed one car had struck a large piece of farm machinery with one patient down in the roadway and upgraded the assignment to an ALS accident, which added an additional MICU from Uwchlan Ambulance. Rescue 73 and Traffic 73 arrived and assisted with hazard mitigation and closing Conestoga Road. Personnel stayed on scene and assisted with getting the farm machinery loaded on a trailer. Crews operated for 4.5 hours before clearing the scene.
