Early Saturday morning, at 2:06 a.m., LCFC was dispatched along with Glen Moore Fire Company and Elverson-Honey Brook Area EMS to assist Twin Valley Fire Department on a reported house fire in the 500 block of Bulltown Road in East Nantmeal Township. The caller reported a small fire near the chimney area of the house. Engine 73-1, Engine 73-2, Rescue 73, and Tanker 73 all made the response for this reported fire in the early morning hours.

Assistant 69 arrived on-scene and reported smoke from the eaves of a single family dwelling. Engine 69-1 arrived as the first due engine and stretched an 1 3/4” handline to knock down the fire inside near the chimney area. Engine 48-5 arrived as second due engine and immediately went to the roof to work near the chimney. Shortly after, Engine 73-1 arrived as third due engine with 4 interior firefighters. The crew from 73-1 assisted with throwing ladders and pulling ceiling inside the residence to check for extension. Crews from Engine 73-2, Rescue 73, and Tanker 73 were returned shortly after arrival. Due to the strong work of the members of the three companies, the situation was placed quickly under control and the fire was contained to the area of origin. The crew from Engine 73-1 operated on-scene for a little more than one hour before returning.
