At 6:26 a.m., LCFC Volunteers and mutual aid were dispatched to Styer and Quail Run Road for a reported garage fire. Chief 73 went enroute and was advised of a possible brush fire against the garage. Chief 73 and Chief 48 arrived simultaneously and advised of a working fire in a detached garage on the unit block of Quail Run Road. The Working Fire Dispatch was struck, which dispatched another MICU, an air unit, Peco and the Chester County Fire Marshals. Engine 73-2 arrived first and crews deployed an 1.75” and 2.5” handline to extinguish the fire. While the crew was extinguishing the fire, Upper Uwchlan PD and a neighbor with fire service experience established a water supply from the hydrant at the end of the driveway. The rest of the arriving units staged their apparatus and sent their manpower to the scene. It was approximately 2 hours until all units cleared the scene.
