This morning at 9:43 A.M., after returning from a fire alarm in East Natmeal, LCFC and Uwchlan Ambulance were alerted for an accident on Pottstown Pike in the area of Cedar Lane. Original reports were 1 car vs. a pole. Chief 73 and Rescue 73 went enroute immediately. Deputy 73, QRS 73 and MICU 87-3 responding moments after. Chief 73 arrived and immediately upgraded it to an accident with entrapment. Rescue 73 arrived and the crews went to work with the Jaws Of Life to free the patient. 73 Qrs and the crew from 87 started with patient care. After roughly 19 minutes, the patient was freed and turned over to 87 for further treatment. Crews operated on scene for 1 hour before returning. A fast response by our crews can be credited for the quick and smooth extrication of the patient.
