At 8:39 a.m., LCFC Volunteers, along with Stations 62 (Ridge Fire Company), 61 (Kimberton Fire Company), 68 (Valley Forge Fire Company) and Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to the 2500 block of Flowing Springs Road for a chicken coop on fire. Within a minute of dispatch, Chesco Fire Board upgraded the call to a barn on fire. Fire Board received a call from a Kimberton firefighter on scene reporting a barn well involved. Assistant 73 was enroute and asked for the Working Fire Dispatch and Tanker Task Force. This added tankers from Valley Forge, Lionville, Glen Moore, and Norco Fire Company.

Assistant 73 had Flowing Springs command until Chief 73 arrived. Engine 73-1 arrived first and stretched multiple hand-lines to extinguish the fire. Engine 73-1 was supplied by Tanker 73 and Tanker 61. Other units arrived and sent their manpower up to assist with fire suppression and overhaul. Crews were on scene for approximately 2.5 hours before returning. LCFC would like to thank our mutual aid stations for their help on the call and our stand-by company (Honey Brook Fire Company) for covering our local while we operated.
