At 3:36 p.m., Station 73 was dispatched to the intersection of Route 100 and Milford Road for a vehicle fire. Initial reports indicated flames coming from the engine compartment of a Hyundai Santa Fe. Upper Uwchlan Police Department arrived on-scene first and reported that the engine compartment was well involved. Assistant 73 was the first unit from LCFC to arrive and confirmed the report. Engine 73-1 arrived shortly after Assistant 73 and the crew stretched the 1.5" bumper line and put a quick knock on the fire and contained the fire to the engine compartment. Engine 73-2 also made the response and the crew assisted with overhaul. Traffic 73 assisted with traffic control in order to keep the responders safe on-scene. Units operated on-scene for approximately 35 minutes before clearing.
