On Monday, June 28th, at 8:17 p.m., LCFC was dispatched to the 900 block of Dewees Lane in West Vincent Township for a vehicle fire, reported as an ATV. With Monday night being a drill night for LCFC, crews were still on station after completing a vehicle rescue training (VRT) evolution. With the crew on station, they were enroute almost immediately after dispatch. Chief 73 and Deputy 73 were first to arrive for LCFC and confirmed the report of a fully involved ATV. Engine 73-1 arrived shortly after and the crew stretched a 1 3/4" bumper line and quickly extinguished the fire. Engine 73-2, Traffic 73, and QRS 73 all made the response as well. Even with the quick response by the crew, the ATV was a complete loss due to the fire.
