Busy Week For LCFC Volunteers

Coming off the 3 day Memorial Day weekend LCFC members were kept busy this past week with multiple calls for service.

On Tuesday, June 1st, around 6:20 A.M., our QRS members handled a medical emergency in West Vincent Township.

On Wednesday, June 2nd, around 11:00 P.M., our QRS team handled a medical emergency in West Vincent Township.

On Thursday, June 3rd, around 9:20 A.M., our QRS team handled another medical emergency in West Vincent Township.

Around 10:00 A.M., that same day, the company was dispatched to an auto accident in the 1400 block of Birchrun Road. QRS 73 and multiple QRS members responded immediately along with Assistant 73. QRS 73 arrived on scene first and found one vehicle in the creek. Upon investigation, it was discovered that there not any occupants in the vehicle. Assistant 73 arrived on scene and confirmed the report. Rescue 73 arrived on scene and assisted West Vincent Police with traffic control. The incident was turned over to PD and Ludwigs Corner units cleared a short time later.

On Friday, June 4th, around 6:00 A.M, the company was dispatched to assist station 61 (Kimberton) on reported building fire in the 1600 block of Art School Road in West Pikeland Township. Engine 73-2 made the response with a crew of 6 but was recalled a short time later by Chief 61.

On Saturday, June 5th, around 1:40 A.M, Rescue 73 was dispatched for the air bank assist as part of the working fire dispatch to assist Honey Brook Fire Company in the 1000 block of Suplee road in Honey Brooke Township. Rescue 73 made the response with 4 and once on scene assisted with overhaul operations and filling air cylinders. Rescue 73 was on scene for roughly 2 hours before being released by command

That same day at approximately 1:50 P.M., our QRS handled a medical emergency in Upper Uwchlan.

Finally, the company handled one final call on Sunday evening at 6:41 P.M. The company was dispatched to the 2500 block of Veronica Drive in West Vincent Township for a barbeque grill fire. West Vincent PD arrived on-scene first and extinguished the fire. Chief 73 arrived a short time later and confirmed the fire was out and no services were needed. Engine 73-2, which made the response with a crew of 5, was recalled.
