| Shortly after 4:00 PM on Thursday, LCFC was dispatched to the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Fellowship Road for a reported vehicle fire.
Upper Uwchlan Police arrived on location and reported a work van with a well-involved engine compartment fire. Engine 73-1 responded shortly after dispatch and could see a header while en route. Upon arrival, crews found a work van heavily involved in fire.
Engine 73-1's crew deployed the bumper line and initiated a fire attack. Engine 73-5 arrived thereafter, establishing a water supply for Engine 73-1 while its crew assisted with fire suppression operations. Traffic 73 also responded and assisted with shutting down the roadway to ensure firefighter safety and the crew assisted with overhaul.
The fire was brought under control quickly, and crews completed overhaul operations to extinguish remaining hot spots. All units cleared the scene shortly before 5:00 PM. |
