| On back-to-back days, Engine 73-5 was dispatched to assist mutual aid companies on working fires. It started on Thursday, May 21, when Engine 73-5 was dispatched just before noon as part of the first alarm tanker task force to assist Berks County Station 7 (Birdsboro-Union) on a working garage fire. First arriving crews arrived to find a 50x50 building that was fully involved. Engine 73-5 supplied the fire ground operations with 3,500 gallons of water and operated on-scene for approximately 3 hours before clearing and returning to Chester County. On Friday, May 22, just after 5:30 p.m., Engine 73-5 was alerted as part of the working fire dispatch to assist Station 64 (Norco Fire Company) with a working apartment building fire. Engine 73-5 made the response with a crew of 5 and stood-by on-scene for approximately 40 minutes before being released by Command. |
