Just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday evening, LCFC was dispatched to the 1600 block of Fairview Road in East Nantmeal Township for a brush fire. Chief 73 and Assistant 73 responded to the call and were advised of a controlled burn that had spread to the field. While on the way, Assistant 73 could see smoke from Route 401 and requested two additional brush trucks and two additional tankers to be added to the response. This brought a brush truck from Ridge Fire Company, a brush truck and tanker from Glen Moore Fire Company, and a tanker from Lionville Fire Company to support the incident.

Assistant 73 arrived and established Fairview Road Command, while Chief 73 managed operations. Brush 73 was the first fire apparatus to arrive and began attacking the fire. Engine 73-1 arrived next and its crew deployed two 1.75-inch hoses to assist with the fire attack. Engine 73-5 arrived soon after and supplied Engine 73-1 with water.

The brush trucks from Glen Moore and Ridge Fire Company arrived shortly after and helped with fire suppression efforts. Engine 47-5 was used to refill the brush trucks. Shortly after the arrival of these units, the fire was brought under control. Approximately two acres burned, and LCFC along with mutual aid companies cleared the scene about 30 minutes later.
