| At 8:51 p.m. on Monday evening, Ludwigs Corner Fire Company, along with Tower 47 from Lionville and Uwchlan Ambulance, were dispatched to Pine Drive in West Vincent Township for a reported chimney fire. The initial report indicated a fire contained within the exterior pipe of the chimney. At the time of the call, LCFC crews were concluding a scheduled training focused on forcible entry and victim removal. Engine 73-2 and Engine 73-5 responded shortly after dispatch and arrived on scene in less than nine minutes. Engine 73-2 arrived first and reported normal conditions at a two-story single-family home. Crews from both LCFC engines used a thermal imaging camera to check for fire extension and determined there was no extension. The incident was quickly brought under control, and response was scaled back to LCFC units only. Rescue 73 arrived shortly after to assist while crews cleared the fire box and inspected the inside of the chimney. Crews remained on scene for approximately 30 minutes before returning to the station. |
