At 2:16 a.m., LCFC was dispatched for the full company to assist Glen Moore Fire Company with a reported house fire on the 200 block of West Whitetail Ridge in Wallace Township. Units from East Brandywine Fire Company, Lionville Fire Company, and Twin Valley Fire Company were also due on the initial dispatch. Chief 48 went enroute and was advised by County that the caller stated there were flames and smoke in the basement. Chief 48 arrived on scene and confirmed a smoke condition inside the dwelling with the house not yet completely evacuated. At this time Chief 48 requested the Working Fire Dispatch, bringing the County Fire Marshals and additional EMS and fire units to the scene.

Engine 48-2 was the first arriving engine and pulled a 1.75" handline to the bravo side of the dwelling to make access into the basement. Engine 48-1 arrived as second due engine and supplied Engine 48-2. Engine 73-5 arrived as 3rd due engine and connected a supply line to Engine 48-1. When the crew from Glen Moore made entry into the basement, they encountered a small fire, and it was quickly placed under control. The crew from Engine 73-5, Engine 73-1, and Ladder 69 completed a primary search of the residence which was negative. Crews from East Brandywine, Lionville, and Rescue 73 assisted with ventilation. At this time, the incident was scaled back, and Command began releasing units from the scene.

Engine 73-1, Engine 73-5, and Rescue 73 all cleared the scene shortly before 4:00 a.m. Thank you to Ridge Fire Company for standing by at our station while we operated at this incident.
