LCFC stayed busy Tuesday handling two separate auto accidents. At 4:46 p.m., LCFC and Ambulance 89-1 (Elverson-Honeybrook EMS) were alerted to the 100 block of Iron Bridge Road in East Nantmeal Township for an auto accident. The initial report was one car off of the roadway into a tree. Assistant 73 arrived on-scene first and advised that he had one vehicle off the roadway with one patient to be evaluated. Chief 73, QRS 73, Rescue 73, Engine 73-1, and Traffic 73 all made the response for LCFC as well. The crew from Rescue 73 and Traffic 73 were on-scene for a short period of time and assisted with traffic control. Engine 73-1 was released upon arrival and all 73 units cleared shortly thereafter. LCFC had 13 volunteers respond to this emergency.

Later that evening, at 9:01 p.m, LCFC and Uwchlan Ambulance were dispatched to the intersection of Pottstown Pike and Conestoga Road for an auto accident. Initial reports indicated three vehicles were involved with unknown injuries. West Vincent Police Department arrived on-scene shortly after dispatch and advised of possible injuries. At this time, Chief 73 requested an additional ALS unit, which brought Ambulance 244 (Westwood Ambulance) to the scene. QRS 73 arrived on-scene in a matter of minutes and assisted with patient care until the ambulances arrived. Rescue 73 was out the door with a full crew within minutes of dispatch and assisted with hazard control and mitigated fluid spills. Traffic 73 and Fire Police personnel from LCFC also responded and assisted with closing the roadway near the accident scene. LCFC remained on-scene for approximately 30 minutes before clearing once Eagle Towing removed the vehicles from the roadway. LCFC had a total of 15 volunteers respond to this call.
