LCFC Volunteers were dispatched for an engine for manpower to assist Station 37 (Modena) with a large brush fire in Newlin Township. Engine 73-1 made the response to the staging area. Crews were staging at the old landfill on Strasburg Road. Once Engine 73-1 arrived at the staging area, the crew was sent out into the woods to help fight fire and mop up hot spots. Crews were removed from the woods at dusk for the safety of everyone. The crew of Engine 73-1 returned home about 2 hours after dispatch.
