IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR RESIDENTS
1. We are sorry but we no longer offer pool filling service.

2. If you need information about the fire company for insurance purposes you can contact West Vincent Township during normal business hours and they should provide you with the necessary information.

3. If you are a resident and are having a controlled burn on your property you must contact the fire board at 610-933-8966 and advise them of such. Please do not call the firehouse and leave a message.

4. If you have a birthday party request please contact the firehouse.

Please remember, we are an all volunteer organization. If you call the firehouse and leave a message, it may take several days for someone to return your call.

Late Afternoon Car Accident

At around 3:20 PM on the afternoon of Saturday August 28th the LCFC was alerted for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 401 and Fairview Road.

The Chester County 911 center reported a serious accident with two vehicles, one a pick-up truck which had rolled over several times.

Chief-73 arrived on scene first and reported all occupants safely out of their vehicles and 3 possible patients in need of checking by EMS.

Rescue-73, Chief-73, Deputy-73, Safety-73, Traffic-73 and 73-50, and ambulance 89 all made the response.

Units operated for just under 1 hour.


 
   
   
LCFC Trains with Uwchlan Ambulance

On Monday August 9th the members of Ludwigs Corner Fire Company reviewed patient moving and packaging with the assistance of Uwchlan Ambulance.

Members went over how to put a patient on a back board, hold C-Spine and how to operate the stretcher and stair chair. They went over loading and unloading of patients, and also general information on the ambulance.

The Ludwigs Corner Fire Company looks to train with any mutual aid and emergency responders to help familiarize the crews and how to operate equipment to help us better serve our community.

The Ludwigs Corner Fire Company would like to thank EMT D. Miller and Paramedic J. Colace from Uwchlan Ambulance for their ongoing support towards the fire company.


 
   
   
Fire Police Assists Ridge-62 with Traffic Control

On Monday August 9th the LCFC fire police were alerted to assist 62 (Ridge) on a call with a concrete slab that fell off the back of a flat bed along Rout 100.

The concrete slab weighted 44-thousand pounds and took hours to clean up.

Assistant 73, Deputy 73 along with EMT March responded to the call.


 
   
   
Crew Responds to Motor Vehicle Accident with Fire

During the late morning of August 9th the LCFC was dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident with fire.

73-50 (Totaro) arrived first on scene along with Chief 69 and reported that there were minor injuries but that one vehicle was on fire and about to cause the second vehicle to begin to catch fire as well.

When 73-2 arrived on scene followed by Tanker 73 both vehicles were well off.

Crews took off two hand lines and extinguished the fire.

Also on scene was Ambulance 89-1, Medic Unit 89-5 and Chief 69.


 
   
   
Beef & Beer Planned For October 16th
   
Mark your calendars!

The Ludwigs Corner Fire Company is planning its yearly Beef & Beer.  The event will be held on October 16th at Griffith Hall.

Tickets will be available soon for the pre-sale cost of $20 and will increase to $25 if purchased at the door.

In addition to all the beef and beer you can eat and drink the night will also include a 50/50 raffle and tons of door prizes.

Independence Day Fireworks a Big Success

On Saturday evening, July 4th, the LCFC once again hosted Independence Day Fireworks at the Ludwigs Corner Horseshow Grounds.


The fireworks were a great success and would not have been possible without the help of our generous sponsors.


The fire company wishes to thank the following organizations for their support.

July 4th Parades

On Sunday morning, July 4th, the LCFC attended two neighborhood parades.


First up was the Cannon Woods development. The crew brought along engine 73-2 and 73-1 and the kids followed the apparatus along on their bikes along the parade route finishing at parade rock where the kids were treated to a shower.


Next both engines, joined by the Upper Uwchlan Police Department heading over to the Reserve at Eagle development where the children also followed on their bikes along a parade route. Before which crews judged the kids bikes for best decorated.


 
   
   
Crew Responds to Early Morning Accident

On the morning of Friday June 26th the LCFC was dispatched for a three car auto accident at the intersection of Route 100 and Fairview Road.


Upon arriving on scene LT-73 and Chief-73 found two vehicles that had been involved in a rear end collision.


73-55 QRS evaluated the drivers before ambulance 87 arrived and determined that there were no injuries.


The fire company provided traffic control in the area until both vehicles could be towed from the scene.

 
   
   
Before Storm Hits Crew Deals with House Fire

In the late morning of Thursday June 24th the LCFC was dispatched for a assist to station 47 (Lionville) for reported house fire.


Engine 73-2 and Chief-73 made the response with full crew.


Upon arrival station 47 found a bathroom on the second floor on fire. 73 crews provided ladders, manpower and other tools to station 47.


Crews also went into the attic to search for additional hot spots.


The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes and LCFC returned to the station in an hour.
